Flash Mob Howl -- Los Angeles is the first flash mob with a message that invites on-lookers to participate and other communities to repeat and build upon! This was a non-partisan event, meaning we did not want to promote one group, but the overall message of 'Adopt a Pet -- Save a Life'. This was a grassroots movement, an all volunteer venture, there was no budget, just a lot of heart! We are not associated with any one rescue group, shelter or city, or county, we're just a lot of people who care. Many groups were invited to participate, and we were thrilled that so many were able to join us!

For more information on all things related to pet adoption and to adopt pets seen in our video, please visit http://www.flashmobhowl.org.

If your community is interested in creating a flash mob to promote pet adoption we're happy to share our learning experiences with you! Please email us at info@flashmobhowl.org and we'll get in touch!

  • The initiative is very good. I'm not sure about Los Angeles but I know that in Orange county the laws about barking dogs are very strict and I don't understand why, the dogs must express themselves. I'm sure these laws are discouraging many people to adopt dogs and this problem should be corrected first changing those wrong laws and the mentality of people against barking dogs who, are in fact very normal in my opinion. Thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful effort, thank you. May each and every precious one of them get the loving lifelong home they deserve. One more important thing: every last dog in every puppy mill needs rescue and adoption also. Those places all need to be shut down and the owners prosecuted for animal cruelty, and the AKC supports and profits from them!
