  • Just a small advice, instead of letting water flowing through, you can use so called wet pad (in greenhouse cooling we use),or just let the water drip following some basic net...I mean if you expand the evaporative area, cooling effect will increase, also, little bit of water consumption...

  • @sizenevermatters Thank you so much, Could you please direct me to a web site or any cooling pad(net) ,producer so I can experiment with it. Thank you for your time,,Yul

  • i'm curious as to what you have actually 'invented' here, have you come up with anything new or have you just connected a solar panel to an evap

  • with this system he could cut electricity use by switching the electric pump to the ecopump(fan shaft driven pump made for swamp coolers) thus prolonging the life of the battery when solar not in use. not to mention the ecopump is made in the USA

  • @stonerj0e i also call BS. i live in SE AZ and when its 95+ outside my house is low-mid 70s inside.

  • using a belt drive is a waste of electricty.

  • YUL are you producing these? If not any plans?

  • @sizenevermatters we used these paper coolers at a egg farm i worked at , they worked pretty good. Misters tho lowered the temp better, i don't know about the difference in water usage.

  • @stonerj0e Bull shit! I have used one for 5 years and its great! you only get mold/fungi if you are a lazy bum who doesn't change your pads every year and dose not maintain your equipment. This equipment is for dry areas only, they stop working efficiently if the humidity gets over 20 % .If you have high humidity and try to run one you will not get any cooling. You normally get 15 degree drop in temp. They are not for people who want an ice box.

  • hey i just posted a video of my homemade swamp cooler you outa check it out

  • @yul1949 Well think of it this way, just like a waterfall drips water and vapour, it cools the air. What temp are you getting your machine to put out?
