This is from a PPV broadcast of Van Halen in '95 from the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada. The song is "Top of the World" from the album "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge." This tour was also known as "The Ambulance Tour."

at least sammy always sang the lyrics unlike roth. roth was great fun and right at the time. as mikle said, sammy took us to another level.

I'm a HUGE Van Halen fan, and I'm glad as hell to see so many comments praising Sammy Hagar! I've got Eddie's and Sammy's autographs framed and hanging on my walls. 2 of my 4 guitars are the ones that Ed designed (The Peavey Wolfgang and the other what is now called the Music Man AX40). I'm also saving for the new design Wolfgang. So many people seem to prefer david Lee Roth, but, I definitely prefer Sammy. Sammy can sing, write, and play guitar damn good, too. Roth is too pompous in my opinion

The only complaints I have are the guitar sound is a little too wet...the 1993 world tour was the best. And of course they are tuned down a half step or so for Sam. That kinda sucks...

@wikkedwood Ed used a lot of chorus pedal (I think) this night and Sam's voice was shot a lot on this tour.
