the real story and the movie are a lot different. In the movie they kind of romanticize the relationship between him and the maid girl. In reality, he never made attempts to seduce or rape her. He just physically and emotionally tortured her.

The Germans and Nazi's made a lot of evil decisions, but so did America. If you were to add up all the evils in the world America would have the most, but America would also have the most Good. America is the biggest so it has done the worst and best things in the world. You have to look beyond Good and Evil and realize the truth where all different, but at the same time no different.
