  • Some statistics for comparison (details of course geography and equipment differences set aside):

    Chris Boardman 55.152 km.h 7.2 km 1994

    Dave Zabriskie 54.676 km/h 19 km. 2005 fastest average speed ever ...

    Greg LeMond 54.545 km/h 24 km. 1989 - previous record

    Lance Armstrong 53.986 km/h 58.5 km 2000

    Interesting aside:

    Gewiss Team 54.930 kph 67km - 1995

Hope this provides some interesting facts for comparison and discussion.

  • great video

  • who'd win in a tt: fabian cancellara or lance armstrong in his prime???

  • LOL, you can see who the class of the TT were those years! Not a huge win with 25 seconds, but then the gaps explode.

  • @Fujin95 Then the car got DQ'ed! Or fined in seconds. No drafting in time trialing! ;D

  • @hufemeve This is a ridiculous assumption that doesn't take into account: 1. This is a point to point course, 2. Elevation (absence of climbs, downhills, etc...) 3. weather conditions. Having an aiding tailwind can bump you several miles an hour faster than in still conditions (on a point to point course). This year at the Boston Marathon, there was a massive tailwind that helped the leaders run the fastest marathon in history. Think before making such serious accusations.

  • @f1nuts and what have you done with your life? i see you complaining but providing zero ways to fix it.

  • To all you non supporters stop watching video of Lance if you hate him. You try to prove with words that tests themselves could not prove. Lance won due to the facts of trainingonly for the tour, the only rider who had a team built around him, and upon his return in 99' he had dropped the weight so his power to weight ratio was better than in the past. So now he could climd and improved on his already better than most TT time.

  • @tuber8440 I LOVE THIS COMMENT!!!

  • 3:05 The car is trying to draft off of Lance!
