This gave me a chance to truely test the limits of my 3 Suction Cup style external/internal camera mount. Race against a friend of a friends lightly modded S2k.
@whitebrad25 The only thing left untouched is the motor, that's still stock. Got everything necessary for the track, LSD, coilovers, motor mounts, aero gear, weight reduction, camber alignment, etc... Only recently have I converted to Track. Most of my vids are street races. Started out with a 16G turbo setup (all my street vids are with a 16G, the 45-120 vid is with a 20G). Sold the setup, and presently putting funds together for my new PTuning setup. Will be running a GT3076r turbo.
@whitebrad25 Yeah, I bought the Z after I had the tC. I bought the Z specifically for drifting. I was getting into drifting more, so I wanted it. Bank kinda dicked me over though. So, I kept it for about 3 yrs and then recently sold it. I replaced it with an Infinity FX35 so I can haul my family in. My tC though....that's my blood sweat and tears right there. It aint going anywhere. If I had enough time to put more into the Z, I would have loved it the same, but just didn't have time
@rhythmnsmoke all im saying is you went from the Z, RWD, to the tc, FWD. the Z is sold, so you did go from one to other. idk you haha, so im not saying it was immediate....ill check out the tc videos...i have an s2000
@whitebrad25 Technically didn't go "from" rwd to fwd on a Scion, cause I had both of them at the same time. The tC has more into it, so had to let the Z go when it came down to one of them leaving. I'm getting another rwd though....as soon as Toyota stops dicking around and brings out the FT-86, or a rwd Scion, or I buy another tC and convert it to RWD. Whichever comes first.
@whitebrad25 As long as it's fast, don't matter what wheels drive it. My tC is 3 times faster than the Z. Click my name and check out my other vids. There are like 50 some odd vids. Go to the early ones (on like pg 3 or something), should see one titled "Our tC vs our 350z".
@whitebrad25 Yeah torque was probably what I had to help me through this one. I'm not the best driver, but I think I'm pretty decent, so I made sure I hit my shift points. My Z is gone now though, sold it not to long ago. I have my tC as my only toy now. Bout to hit the track this weekend down in GA (Roebling Road road course).
the s2000 isnt made to be fast in a straight line.....not that it isnt, but still...you deff should have started out in a lower gear....each run i was reading the tittles going "no way"....cuz if you let the s2k start in vtec range or near it that is where the lil tq will actually matter for my car. always fun to have fun and glad it all turned out ok that night. congrats on the camera
The S2000 is highly underestimated. cool races though. Nothin beats those late night freeway runs
