@rahmalec Great job! You really executed the color changes on the different parts of the head really well.
I don't know much about sticks, but the scored suggested "cloth-covered rattan sticks." Do you know if that's about what you used? Whatever you used, it has a crisp attack and great projection.

Oh ok, I know what you mean, basically the bare core of the mallet head which are usually covered in a thin layer of felt w/ glue etc. Sweet, thnx man!

Absolutely breathtaking! Bravo!
If only more orchestral works had timpani's played like this throughout!

@BlairLuxe You do sometimes get passages like this in orchestral works but of course they are usually shorter, but that doesn't make them any less difficult. And usually they're combined with some crazy pedalling, etc.

your technique is excellent, but please change your timpani, they are very colorless and rude for me... maybe for you too.

Yes they are. :-)
These are not mine. I have two which are similar but copper hammered and with much better heads. They actually sound nice (well for their price). The problem is always the cost and also space. :-)

What type of mallets are those?

I don't know what make and model but I think you need to have a fairly hard set of sticks with the smallest heads possible and should be light as well. The hardness should be about half way between wool and wood.
My sticks consist of just the core and some sort of cover (but no wool)
