After watching this video a few more times, I realize that I was kind of harsh with what I said about Deuce Leader. He's actually pretty damn good... almost every line I've ever heard him spit in a battle is a punchline. He has a lot less filler than other emcees, and I like how his style is rather original (he doesn't need to rely on multisyllable rhymes to clown his opponents). Kulez was more lyrical, IMHO, but he didn't really have great punchlines, and he spat a LOT of filler about himself.

I don't know how Deuce made it to the semifinals... I can imagine that some of the decisions made in regards to his battles that year were probably rigged, being that he was a Scribble Jam veteran and a crowd favorite (I can imagine that his '03 stage dive probably did a lot to influence that favoritism). At least TheSaurus gave him the merking that he deserved.

It's too bad that Whashisface, Possessed, Respek BA, etc. weren't in the UK qualifiers... they would have torn Deuce a new asshole.
