Only John Barry could have matched the emotion to this movie so perfectly with such an amazing score. I've loved and admired his work for many years and never without a dry eye. Such a talent is never forgotten. Thank you, Mr. Barry. May you rest in peace.

This movie has one of my favorite soundtracks, so evocative of the wonderful images recreated on film of that time and place in Africa and of the undying love between two extraordinary people in the midst of all that wild, chaotic beauty. Music is like perfume, it ignites intense memories in your heart. I saw this film when I was 16 and it stamped itself on me then, learning about love. The melody reminds me again that love lives forever. Thank you, Mr. Barry. :)
