Oh shit sorry if this sounds stupid but I just remembered my Tegus are hybrids with, I believe a blue Tegu or something, and they require more meat, sorry if I bothered you with my comment.

Uh that's what I said. They don't eat that much vegetable, they prefer meat. I'm osrry if I worded my comment wrong or something, but I meant to imply they eat mostly meat. Mine prefer this, and my buddies prefer it as well.

That information is according to herpetologists who have studied them in their natural environment in Argentina.... Do your home work... Do the research...... med. rats are too big for a adult tegu you should stick with smalls
did you clean the wood ? if not he could have parasites
