Classic Game Room HD reviews BLUE STINGER for Sega Dreamcast from 1999. Published by Activision, this is a very odd action / adventure game which reminds me of a super cheesy Dead Space mixed with Jurassic Park. Explore Dinosaur Island and shoot monsters or attack them with an ax, Blue Stinger will entertain players with odd environments, terribly cheesy dialog and a reasonably entertaining story about something involving something with some sort of somethings. Shoot enemies and run around in circles collecting change, buy a variety of neat weapons and get frustrated by terrible controls. This game could have been one for the collection! It's too bad the controls are terrible, awful and just plain bad. This CGR review of Blue Stinger has gameplay from the Sega Dreamcast release of Blue Stinger showing game play in HD.

  • I too have a lot of respect for the game room, but i also disagree with him on this title. While it may not hold up against today's standards, as very few games do, I recommend giving this game a spin. It's quirky? Yes, BUT it's fun.

  • Not really a review. Just you being ultra critical of a game you compare to DeadSpace. :/

  • One of my all time favorite games. Give it some slack, man.

  • The Japanese version (which is the one I played) had a much better fixed camera system than the US 3rd person version. Wonder why they changed it?

  • I remember seeing the previews for this game, thinking the graphics looked amazing lol

  • the developer of dead space must have liked this game, the monster design looks very similar

  • Yes this game was the best, what times.

  • One of my favorite games as a kid

  • THIS GAME GOES BEYOND THE STANDARD

  • this makes me wanna play it :)

  • 1 dollar for this game? damn

  • @HenryFinn No. He experienced Dead Space first, hence playing something similar in design to it afterwards would remind him of that, regardless of what time the games were released.
