You said you "used to feel the same way" about your HD28. You mean you actually thought it to be too resonant, with too many overtones, busy, etc.? Just curious what you mean. Did the guitar change, or did you tweak it to your liking?

Hey, thanks for the nice reply. I have tried a bunch of different strings, but the thing that I find annoying is how "busy" chords sound. Perhaps I need to allow the strings to settle down a bit. So, your HD28 has gotten much better over the years? How so, if I might ask. Thanks.

So what's the review on the HD28? Talk to me. I just actually bought this guitar, and to me it seems to play with too much resonance. In other words, it's too messy/busy when I do some hard strumming. I'm wondering if a different saddle or strings might help the situation.

@peterpulpitpounder Try changing strings, ( I like Elixir Phosphor Bronze lights ) but also understand that your HD28 will change over time. Mine has gotten MUCH MUCH MUCH better over the years. I used to feel the same way about mine, but I pushed through and I couldn't live without out it now.

What do you think about the Yamaha apx500? I'm trying to decide whether i go for that or the baby taylor.

@junkfoodq If you want something that plays GREAT, get the Baby Taylor. Mine, "it's like butta"!
