I wasn't quite sure how you got that end cap off, so I tried it and it works fine. Thanks!

@MasterZilly With a cassette tool and a chain whip, that will make it real easy to remove the cassette and reinstall. The centerlock rotor will just requires the cassette tool for removal and reinstall. Now a days, almost everything are standardize with some minor adjustments. Shouldn't have any problems at all.

@twohubs cool thanks. on top of that: im running a shimano wheelset and was looking to upgrade because the hub just isnt satisfactory for me. if i replace my existing wheel with a dt swiss wheel and hub, how easily can i swap my existing components such as the cassettes derailleur (both shimano), and brake disk to the newer wheel? are they all for the most part standard sizes?

@MasterZilly A stock DT Swiss rear hub comes with a 18T Star Ratchet and has a contact angle of 20 degrees. The 36T Star Ratchet upgrade has twice the amount of teeth, so it cuts the angle down to 10 degrees.

Helped me a lot, thanks!

does it wears twice faster than 18t ratchet?
Can I use Dt swiss multi-purpose grease with the star ratchet system?

@772kevin The DT Swiss multipurpose grease will work fine, you will have reapply it more often than the recommended grease to maintain the quieter ratcheting.
