  • I saw this bands last show at the Fillmore East.....and I can't remember the year.....but they opened with this.......MB walked off the stage after about 2 hours and Hendrix (plus many others) came out and they played for another 2 hours or more....one of the Greatest shows I've seen!!!

  • Wow ! Youre one lucky person !

  • I would have to agree with hotdaveog comments. Man, you are killing my sleep habits but I'll take this abuse anytime.

Thanks for the many many posts. Too bad MB did not make it this far, I can only begin to imagine what he would sound like now. Sweet Dreams All

  • Hey Zinedine, just who do you think you are? I'm losing so much sleep and its all your fault. I've been a Bloomfield fanatic for over twenty years (the only one I know personally) and your collection is blowing my mind. Great job!!!!

  • Classic Bloomfield.

  • Blame it on Dallas.

  • haha. what kinda fool disliked this? so good. thanks for posting.

  • The Flag were the shit. I played the shit out of this album. May Michael and Buddy rest in peace. They never got the props they deserved

  • Saw this performance...Fukkin killer!!! Nothing like it since.

Zinedine05 do have Fannie Mae by the Flag??? Unreal, trust me.

    Thanks

    Al

  • It's the hand wiring of those pickups, the old ladies sittin in a factory with smells of glue and toxic chemicals - you can play a '59 and even a wrong note sounds great man, then you put that into the hands of a genius like Michelangelo or Homer or Copernicus or Michael Bloomfield...

  • An educated guess would be that the chap on the keyboards is Barry Goldberg, at least he was with the band a few months previously in 1967. Agreeable band anyway!

  • Mike Bloomfield was So good. Great post!!!

  • Top Five horn bands of the 60s - 70s... Top Three, really, for me

  • I have posted this comment elsewhere on the internet. I saw them two nights after this recording was made at Winterland and was blown away. When they did "Texas" Mike got a standing ovation for his solo and in those days the crowd sat down for the shows. No kidding. So to see everyone get up on the middle of the song to play homage to Bloomfield was moving and he really moved us that night. He got to introduce BB King for his first set and you could tell how tickled he was.
