IT GETS BETTER (Just Hold on) - Music and Lyrics

More gay teens lost to suicide. This makes my heart so heavy and I am deeply distressed over these deaths when they occur. These young folks need to know it does get better and they have the best part of their lives ahead of them. They will be out of school someday and the cruel kids will not be around to bully them anymore. The gay teens need to know that the love, acceptance and happiness they long for will happen if they just hold on and give themselves some time. They can call the trevor project for someone to talk too along with other crisis centers.
The bullying and hatred must stop. The teachers, school admistrators and parents must speak out against bullying. Homophobia is a big problem in our world thanks to the biggest notorious bully of them all, and because this bully wears and outer garment of "holiness" this makes them the most evil bully of all time. This would be religion, the church etc. The church still spreads its message of anti-gay doctrines which feed the fires of hatred and bullying toward others who are different. Recently an Arkansas Midland School District board member Clint McCance wrote this on his facebook page:
"Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers killed themselves. The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that they sinned and killed thereselves because of their sin. REALLY PEOPLE."
The good news is this ignorant church-going bigot resigned due to the massive outcry. But the message he wrote are words that hurt the vulnerable ears who hear these words of hatred and ignorance. Why is our society filled with such bullies in important positions? Why is the majority of republican right-wing conservatives so determined to belittle, suppress and oppress gay people? What message are they sending to our young in a time we are to be growing more tolerant and accepting of others who are different? We have made progress over the decades but there are some who want to erase that. What anti-gay messages are the church quietly imparting to the young and old alike? Haven't they grown up and come out of those ancient prejudices? The church is basically saying it is not okay to be gay. This level of ignorance takes ones breath away. I can't forgive the church for being an accomplice to multitudes of gay teen suicides. The children need to know that the church is swimming in ignorance at every level. The religious are so ignorant they cannot even put their bible down long enough to look at reality and see that gay people are made just the way they are, and being gay is inborn. All one has to do is be observant. The church is wrong (again) and the religious bully needs to say it is sorry for being an accomplice to gay teen suicides.

To the young people please know there are loving people who have want to be there for you. There are many organizations but you can try the trevor project too.

@TheIambart I know it is hard when people bully others. For some reason school kids and even highschool and college kids can be cruel. Most of them grow up and out of it but some don't ever grow up. There is so much fun to be had if you hang in there and if you have to reach out to someone. There are thousands of hands reaching out to help. Peace!
