I would love to know the answers to these questions
@Lex5576, on the other hand you'd have to pay for everything you take. I recall reading somewhere that when some people wanted to save just some documents from a ship that was about to get scrapped, the price was... a bit high for just a bunch of papers.
I would love to be able to board those condemned vessels and get the valuable stuff off of them. The builder's brass name plate, compass, barometer, and various other scientific gear could be sold on Ebay for big bucks. These shipping companies don't use cheap shit on their vessels either, so anything you find will probably be professional quality gear. Even the old stuff.
