@c1a2deleted I guess the reason is so you can swap them out for new ones faster in the pits, but I'd also be curious to find out how much weight they add.
I had the same questions regarding weight. How much unsprung weight does the adapter add? Our race car has center lock hubs but the axles and spindles were designed for them. As far as overtightening we never had that problem. If anything, some of the gorillas on the crew are more likely to overtighten the nut.

how much extra weight does the center hub conversion add?
and what are the chances that the wheel overtightens itself on the hub?
the idea seems unique, but i dont see the reason to unnecessarily increase rotational weight.
