@toquoctrian I dont really catch ur idea, but i think he did it so to control the balance, i mean that serve was the strong flat serve according to his motion. So his knees (right and left also) needed to pulled up more (actually faster) than a second kick serve to substract with the momentum of his right hand. He would control his balance better. This serve could be more powerful than other flat serves of Fed :D.
Thanks for the info. This is my idea. Federer is the only player I see doing this. Why other players do not do it?
