4247 on the Avon Valley Railway - 20/11/11

GWR 4200 Class 2-8-0T no.4247 recently came to the end of her 10 year overhaul at the Flour Mill Workshops in the Forest of Dean, she is also now sporting a BR Unlined Black livery with BR's early emblem. She was sent to the Avon Valley Railway for running in so this meant the AVR could add in an extra running day to their 2011 timetable. She ran to Timetable A which meant five round trip between Oldland Common and Avon Riverside. After her stay at the AVR she would then return to her homebase on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway.

Shots included in this video are:

- Departing Bitton for Avon Riverside.
- Approaching Bitton from Avonriverside then departing Bitton.
- Running under West Street Bridge after departing Oldland Common.
- Running into Avon Riverside station then departing over the bridge over the river Avon.
- A great way to end the day as we had an absolutely gorgeous sunset.

Excellent video, fantastic shots. She looks really nice in the BR Black, I will probably go to Bodmin’s winter steam up to get a closer look, also will look brilliant with a Blood & Custard rake.
