My grandfather was Fonzie, in The Red Fox Chasers, his real name was Al Phonso Thompson (the guitarist) and continued to sing his entire life well beyond his recording years with his children Pauline, Ralph, Fred, and Ruth. They are a great source of happy memories for our family at family gatherings and holidays. My father was Fred, the middle son & had an amazing voice until he died September 30, 2008. He is sorely missed by his loving family!
