So my focus in my 30 plus videos is to alert other boomers to look for secluded places that exist in all areas so that you can ride and have a vast amount of fun, get in shape, stay mentally spiritually healthy. My first 25 videos focused on the Lehigh Canal Trail in Easton, PA. these trails are reachable from the Philly, North NJ and NYC areas. If you can't come here often, watch my videos of paths that are ongoing, and make it a goal to find such trails near you, or to even make the journey to the Lehigh River Canal Pathe a destination. These trails are basically empty in non peak hours, ride in the morning, late aftenoon, winter, spring, fall and in the summer just use logic to determine when to come out here.

It was not easy to put together 30 videos, but I have had a hell of a lot of fun. For each 10 to 20 minute segment you see, I spent several hours on the bike and learned how to edit so the films represent the forward view from the handlebars. I swing the camera side to side to show the view you will enjoy if you come to the Lehigh Canal path. What videos I think may be my best you may think the suck and you may enjoy the ones that I thought were marginal. My purpose is to show my love for cycling and that cycling at middle age may be the best possible. You can lose weight, you can reflect on your life and you can worship your God while you enjoy the things created by our Creator. Below are a recap of things that if you adopt 30% of them you will be enjoying the outdoors as much as me and my fellow cyclists.Take the bike off the hook in the garage, increases chances you will hear it telling you to ride it. Own a pump, Avoid cycle store or groups, they can overwhelm you and there is too much competition for newbies. Follow the weather daily for months. Plan to have a ride that ends in the rain, you will feel great later on when you dry out.Learn that there is a reason for each gear, whether it is 5, 10, 12 , 18 , 21, 24 or 27, small hills, flat land, big hills, tired, feeling great, lost and tired 10 miles from home. Pack a lunch the day before, Grape jelly sandwiches on white bread are my suggestion for the fructose to glucose energy burn. Lots of paper towels for tissues and for nose blowing so your breathing easy and not too sweaty. Goggles as well as sunglasses, wind will blow dust in to the side of your sunglasses. Bandaids. A pre cycle time routine, put lunch, pump and other items on the bike, eat a small snack,. Then lay down for about thirty minutes, have sugar snack avail or energy drink or coffee ready for when your rest ends. Loosen up on the bike as you ride not before. Have eyedrops so when dust gets in your eyes, you are prepared. Have a planned route and an alternate route. Do not quit before you have ridden 15 minutes, if you make it 15 minutes you will probably make it 45 minutes. Have fun have fun and have lots of fun.
