I first saw this movie on a New Orleans TV station when the power came back on right after Hurricane Camille had passed. I was 8 yrs old at the time and don't know which scared me more, the hurricane or this scene.

I remember watching this movie as a kid on saturday growing up in cCeveland 1960's. This intro scene and the scene where the woman rinses her face with acid really scared me. It was one of those scenes from a movie that you remember growing up...not realizing how fake it really was.
