i don't really know much about guns could someone tell me the difference between this and an ar-15?

I like the m4 sopmod more than any other firearms but they should make new guns not replicas of Ar colt rifles, just please use some new ideas to make new guns!!!!!!

@sig0 translation, theyre steel inserts so your more likely to mess up the position than actually strip one, plus you shouldnt be using an impact wrench on your rails, this aint nascar.

I'm wondering, can I buy a short-stroke gas piston that I can replace the direct impingement gas tube with on an AR-15?

@verticallyblessed During the SDM training we were required to acquire and hit target's out at 800M with an M4. Not sure if they are still running it that way, but it's completely feasible to hit a target out that far with the 5.56. Not sure about with the .223 though.

Whats the point of the 10MOA rail on an SBR, especially with an Aimpoint Micro on top. I just dont see anyone trying to hit 800+yds with that rifle.
