Well, as a testimony to all the fine work you boys accomplished, I worked Danny today on 20. He was 59+25(peaking) here on my IC756Pro3 with 1 stage of pre-amplification turned on. Outstanding signal and wonderful work by all involved.

@AndyDaviesByTheSea Well, I thought I was mightily impressed when I saw the tower but now, after reading this, I realise I was only mildly impressed compared to how I regard Danny's tower now.
Have you come across a ham radio guy here called johnrob281? He is doing a lot of DIY stuff. I have no interest in ham radio (I think) but I like the technical side of it. Maybe I'm teetering at the top of the slope?
Best Wishes, Brendan.

Hi Brendan, as you'll appreciate this is Danny's station; my own set-up is a lot more modest comprising of a few aluminium poles and some lengths of wire, I've spent today replacing the top 12 foot of my aerial mast as the 59mph winds last week bent it. Ham radio is a great hobby with many facets, with my humble aerial I can talk to people in Australia but one like Danny's will always put out a better signal. By the way Danny's a blacksmith, he built the tower himself!
Kind Regards...Andy
