Graphics card overclocked to 805/1200 Mhz; cpu overclocked to 4 Ghz.
FPS in game - about 30 to 60 with high settings - which you could find in my blog, also with info about graphics settings like "ubersampling":

  • Hi, can you send me a screen of your graphics settings? I play on a Phenom II X4 @ 4Ghz + HD 5850 860 / 1060. thank you

  • @aerox6180 Check video info, there's link where You will find my settings :)

  • at first i tried using same settings as you (i have 5850 to) but than i maxed out everything with exception of SSAO and ubersampling. The Game runs only a lil worse and still manages to be 30+ fps (the lowest i got was 28).Don't see why you couldn't use same settings.

  • @Chhooppyy But You could have more fps drops in the next game levels - like prison or forest.

  • I personnally don't understand why people tend to waste performance with gigantic resolutions "nowadays". I've never had a complete highend machine, and I still remember 1280x1024 to be totally sufficient. Not a personal comment, just a general thought.

  • @scavengedfantasyname Resolutions will not reduce performance so much like the other graphics settings. Personally I like full hd with medium/high settings in every game, for me it's big difference compared to lower resolutions. On my pc I could use this resoluion and I have good perfomance in games (but in next year or two I think that will be changed) :] Thanks for opinion.

  • for all that encounter FPS droping in chapter 1(flotsam)or any other levels put texture downscailing on low,i did that and now i get constant 50-lowest 30

  • @Roksonixx *facepalm*

Re-read my comment before you make yourself look like an idiot- Oh wait, to late, you already have.

I said the equivalent AA settings used on the lower resolution compared to the higher one. So, for example 1280x720 with 4x AA to 1080p with no AA. Just because it's smoother doesn't mean it's clearer in detail. Read up on the tricks used with AA to make things look smoother.

Not to mention that AA makes barely any difference when you are playing at 1080p or above.

  • @TileWonder lol ok buddy. try 1680x1050 with 8x AA (or more), then try 1200x1080 without AA, you can clearly see jaggies in even in 1080p, and the 8x AA is smooth as butter, even if at a smaller res, especially when you sit close (such as a pc monitor)

that said, you should always try and put the resolution to the monitors native and stick to it, AA or not, because this will give a better picture

loads of AA are far better than a bit of a higher resolution, with no AA is jaggy as fuck

  • @Roksonixx Umm... No it's not. A lower resolution with lots of AA is an image that has countless processes run through it to look smooth and then brought to your screen. A higher resolution is something that goes straight to your screen and looks just as good, if not better, than the equivalent AA settings used.

  • @ya679 you'll be able to run it without ubersampling sure...

what do you mean overclock your 5850's to 3.9ghz? that doesnt make sense

  • @scavengedfantasyname a lower resolution with lots of AA is always better than a higher without

  • I have ati 5850 too but i'm having intel i7 860 processor nad i'm using ultra settings with the exclusion of ubersamping of coz. The shadows set to high, and turned off cinematic depth of field. I still get good fps but the trade off was to put resolution 1680x1050 instead of 1980x1020. So the game appears with black borders at the corner... i personally think that the size is still fine though withsome good graphic details.
