This is an Acadia organ (I'll post a picture of the case later) made in Bridgetown N.S. (Canada) in April 1882. The action is a Carpenter product from Worcester, MA (USA). This is one of the earlier Acadia instruments as the company only started producing organs in the fall of 1881. This organ is still in the process of refurbishment and this was the first opportunity I had to see what the sound was like after I had restored the action. I was inspired to start this page by the great work done by so many others who have been demonstrating the reed organ online. Just to name one, Rodney Jantzi, has done a fantastic job in showcasing his talents, not only in his restoration of reed organs but in his playing! Thank-you. I am not an organist by the stretch of anyones imagination and was very reluctant to include my playing, so apologies in advance.
Beautiful, haunting sound.

Very nice! The organ already sounds fantastic from being out of it's case, and fine playing too. It's great to hear organs from other Canadian buiders, thanks for posting this!
