Chapter 14


-In the ambulance-

Julia is still crying. Kevin is trying to calm her down.

Julia: Its all my fault. I should have known about the sugar thing. We just forgot.
Kevin-Its ok. He's gonna be fine.

They arrive at the hospital, and the paramedics take him inside.

Doctor- Mr.Kevin Jonas?
Kevin- Yes,sir?
Doctor- My name is Dr. Robertson and I will be your brothers doctor.
Julia: Is he ok?
Doctor-I'm not sure quite yet. Are you family?
Julia; *looks at Kevin* No, I'm...
Kevin: A family friend. *looks at julia*
Doctor- Well, only family is allowed in the room for right now. Have you informed your parents yet?
Kevin- No, not yet.
Doctor- Ok, please let them know that Nick is here and is in great hands.
Kevin-I will. Thanks doctor.

Kevin goes into the room with the doctor, while Julia waits in the waiting room. Joe, Elizabeth, and Jessica come running in.

Joe- Hey, is Nick ok?
Julia- Kevin is back there right now with the doctor.
Jessica-Julia, he's gonna be ok. You know that right?
Julia- You don't know that!
Elizabeth- she's just trying to help.

Kevin comes into the waiting room.

Kevin-Julia? Do you want to see Nick?
Julia: Yeah, of course.
Kevin: The doctor said it's fine for you to go in now.
Julia: Ok!

Kevin and Julia go back into the room. The doctor is still in there looking at Nick's charts.

Julia: *holding Nick's hand*
Doctor- I think he's gonna be ok. He just needs some meds. He'll be better in no time.
*She feels Nick squeeze her hand*
Nick: *really groggy* Julia?
Julia: Hey, yeah!
Nick: What happened?
Julia: Your blood sugar spiked. You scared me!
Kevin: You scared all of us.
Nick: I am so sorry. I should have known better.
Kevin- It's ok. You were just having a little to much fun.
Nick: I was having fun. I'm sorry we had to stop cause I was stupid and didn't think.
Julia: No, its fine. It's not you fault.
Nick: Omg! We have a show tonight. We can't cancel this late!
Kevin- Its ok. This is probably all over the news anyway. All the people who were gonna come to the concert know most likely know already.
Nick- But we've never canceled. You know what doc? I am feeling a whole lot better.
I think I can go home now and...
Doctor- No way! You need to rest for at least a day. You took a nasty fall. You hit your head pretty hard.
Kevin- Yeah Nick, the fans will understand.
