My Mum is 78 now but when i was a child at family parties she was always asked to sing Wheel of Fortune. As I grew up and became interested in older music I came across this song again on a cassette and actually thought it was my mum singing- she sounded so much like her ...memories

This wonderful song also appeared in a film called Let Him Have it (1992- based on a true story & directed by Peter Medak/starring Christopher Eccleston & Paul Reynolds). As the film was set in 1951-3, the main character Derek Bentley (played by Christopher Eccleston) kept playing it. It was the first record he bought and he was entranced by her voice.
I first heard this song back in the 90's & am very happy to have found it on YouTube. Wonderful, powerful voice & such a classy looking lady.
