SSBB Character Expose: Fox and Falco

In this video, I showcase how Fox and Falco work, including their move properties and what I believe will be key strategies to learn with them in the long run.

I made this video only a few days after the Japanese version came out, and it's entirely possible everything I say in this video regarding strategies/strengths/weaknesses will turn out to be completely wrong in the long run. This seems to be especially true of the space animal characters.

Well I consider Falco to be "Luigi-ized". What that means is that while some of Falco's moves are like Fox's, many of his moves are different. It's good that Falco's not done and that Sakurai dealt with making former clone characters no longer clones. P.S. Lucario is not a clone of Mewtwo contrary to popular belief.

how do you do the up a attack w/o having to jump first i see you just walk and do?

Falco is personally my favorite and best character. Other characters can avoid the lazer, and while using the down-b, I trip and when/if they jump up, I use a smash A to attempt to get them airborne, then I spike them and/or hit them up again.

I get the sence the guy in this vid doesnt like Falco because Falcos rated 4th in the Brawl Tier List which is much better than he is made to look here.

btw the falco throw's lasers don't always work, if you have higher percentage like 120+ the lazers won't hit, maybe like 1 or 2 hit

Fox and Falco are my favorite characters in Brawl. And, Falco is my favorite character in the Starfox series, but i still like Fox. Im a furry.

I wouldn't say Falco is the best. Since it is obvious that he's nowhere near as good as say Meta Knight.

But yeah.

Falco isn't completely as this video makes him look.

Neutral A = More effective at racking than Fox.

Down Throw can chain.

I generally like both characters, but I tend to stick with Falco more than Fox because I rely on spiking.

He obviously doesnt know falco very well, HE IS THE BEST. I call the shine, the discipline stick. When quick players run at you, you just whip it out as soon as they get to close, and teach them not to ever try that again.
