@manoftomorrow79 its not because of American Idol she committed suicide. she had already tried months before she even went on the show. yea they shouldnt have let her on &they only did it because she was a huge fan of Paula. and Simon, well you cant say anything because thats who he is hes honest and hes gonna treat every contestant the same he wont sugarcoat anything. god rest her soul but she was unstable in the first place and it was only a matter of time before she tried again.

If u go to a serious audition like American idol u hav to know there is a chance u will be turned down. They can't let her through just becuz she has issues. :\ noones fault except for goodspeed's obsession

This is why I never liked American Idol it was only a matter of time.Before someone took their life because of Simon's out of line personal comments. Goodspeed's suicide could have been prevented Simon knew she was an obsessive fan of Paula. The people of the show only cared about having a good laugh at Paula Goodspeed's expense.

@sleepypoodle she only let her in because she felt bad for her. And now that she killed her self Paula feels even more bad that she didn't spend more time with her (it's like the exact opposite of what your saying).

I think American Idol has treated this woman like crap. It's a blessing she isn't getting her contract renewed. They are responsible for putting her in danger.
And the show actually didn't do Paula Goodspeed any good either. It's like they set up this very unstable person to be rejected by her idol (Abdul), not to mention be ripped apart by Simon. The most stable people find his comments harsh, but someone like Goodspeed, with a very deluded view of her "talent"? Not nice.
