It is not a hymn of freedom.It is a song about just what it says,poor people who make do with what they have,make what they need without spending money that they do not have,and being proud to have what they do have,no shame put on them by others.This is what more people everywhere need to be.We have all lost our way in life.Are we really better of today than many years ago?I miss the life I had growing up.I was much happier then than I am today.

It's pretty ggod rendition, but I prefer Shania & Dolly together from the Ophra Show rendtion better.
