@kinyo88 Everyone thinks the friend is feminine, it's not, the friend in the song is a guy. "J'ai perdu mon ami pour un bouquet de roses que je lui refusais" she just sings it with a long i. Trust me I grew up singing the song lol

J'aime cette chanson. C'est si beau mais ce film a fait me pleurer. Je ne pleure jamais pendant les films qu'il a supposé pour m'aider avec mon image ou quelque chose mais j'ai renoncé dessus juste pour cette nuit que mon ami a été choqué mais heureux que j'aie eu le pouvoir pour pleurer. I love this song. My mum is French, and watching this movie along with this song which she'd heard so much during her childhood made her cry sooo much. It was as if I'd just shoved an onion in front of her face.

I remember sitting down to watch this movie being like, "well, even if the ending is sad I can handle it" and then by the end I was just sitting there staring at the screen crying while the credits rolled... haha so much for my brief feminist rebellion...
