"A Kevin Jonas Love Story" chapter 90

A week or so went by and we got the restaurant up and running. I'm surprised that people are finding out about this place so quickly. Lacey was happy finally getting to work, but I don't know if she was so happy about working with Nicole. I just kept telling her don't worry your the head waitress. If you don't like what she's doing just say something. Today was a really busy day and It was almost closing time and Kevin came in and his parents were right behind him.
Me: Hi, *whispers* what's going on
Kevin: Hey, *whispers* they wanted to see the place.
He kissed me softly on the lips and I tried not to melt to much seeing that his parents are here and they still make me a little nervous. Kevin loves to see me like that for some reason. I'll figure it out one day.
Denise: You really did a great job with this place.
Me: Thanks, would you like to try something.
Denise: that would be great.
I went and asked Nicole to go and serve them. I stood near by to listen to make sure she wasn't screwing anything up. Kevin came over and stood by me and started to hold my hand. It was sweet. I loved when he did little things like that.
Kevin: *whispers* what are you doing?
Me: spying
*at the table*
Nicole: can I get you guys anything to drink?
Denise: oh just water for us, thanks
Nicole: *gets the drinks* So your son and daughter-in-law really made this place happen huh?
Denise: oh, they're not married, they're just engaged.
Nicole: oh, sorry I thought they were married, my bad.
We heard her say those words and we just froze. I tried to sneak into the back room. Kevin followed.
Me: please tell me that didn't just happen
Kevin: um ......I think it did
Me: what are we gonna do now, Oh my god I don't think I can breathe...*starts to pace*
Kevin: Look, I'll take care of it later. It's ok. *stops her from pacing and takes her in his arms*
Lacey walked by and saw us. She asked what was going on and we filled her in on what just happened. So she decided to tell Nicole to go home for the night. She went out and was talking to their parents as Nick walked in to pick her up. I went out there too, against my better judgment so Kevin could talk to Nicole before she left.
Kevin: Nicole, can I talk to you for a second?
Nicole: Sure, What's up
Kevin: This is really weird for me to tell you this but my parents don't know that we got married. They think were still just engaged.
Nicole: well that was obvious when I made a fool out of myself.
Kevin: Sorry about that, I honestly never thought they would come in here. Or at least this soon. Well anyways if you could do me a favor and just not mention that to them, ok.
Nicole: That depends.
Kevin: Depends on what?
Nicole: If you'll do something for me?
Kevin: What's that?
Nicole: I want you to kiss me?
Kevin: What, I'm not going to kiss you.
Nicole: Well I guess your parents need to find out about your marriage sooner or later.........
