    I'd never used groundnut oil before seeing Jamie cook this, but it makes the rice taste great!

  • Hi, like the video but you need to get a wood chopping board . This will really save your knives from going dull .

    By the way i am not having a go .

  • you can get good quality knives for a very reasonable price - but a lot of it is about maintaining the knife. even if you spent hundreds of pounds on knives, using a glass or stainless steel surface would still dull them, so you need to hone them too.

    wood is the best material for cutting boards as they'll be kinder to your knives, but soft plastic is pretty okay too and might be safer re cross contamination esp with raw poultry and fish.

  • Every time that knife comes down I cringe. Worst cutting board ever.

  • You ruined it by putting meat n veggies together.....first meat , stir fry till desired, than veggies lightly tossed in the heat for a couple of minutes and thats it. Green onions n chillies need to be crunchy , green and fresh.

    Rice was done well.

  • recipe sounds good, butt some things for you to consider: u need a sharper knife(shun's may be the best for the money with a lifetime warranty), use a wood cutting board it helps keep the edge of ur blade, if u get a sharper knife u wont saw ur food any more and life in the kitchen will be easier
