Yom Kippur, End Time Prophetic Meaning of Yom Kippurim (Messianic Jewish), Day of Atonement

Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement is the holiest day of the year and a day entirely devoted to GOD and prayer. It is traditionally a fast day. (See below Lev 16:31). For Messianic Jews this can be a time of joy in the knowledge that our sins are atoned for. Otherwise it is traditional to wear white, as on Rosh HaShanah. For a Messianic Jew or Christian, it can be a day of fasting and intercession for the Jewish people and Israel in particular. For the lukewarm, Yom Kippur is a reminder that Judgement day is near and TODAY, everyday is the day of repentance and salvation!

When is Yom Kippur 2011?
Remember, a Jewish day is sunset to sunset, not midnight to midnight.
The "official" date for 2011 on the pre-set calendar, which most of the Jewish World observes, is October 8th -- it begins October 7th at sundown.
If you go by the Crescent NEW MOON sighting this year, 2011: it is October 9th - it begins October 8th at sundown.

@yahokobbenyah Thank you for your good comment - Although I do agree that the vast majority of believers/followers of YAHUSHUA will be going thru the Tribulation, I believe very few Rev 14:1-4 will not as was promised to the church of Philadelphia 3:7-13. In any case whichever we are, we should ALL be prepared to go thru Tribulation and stay faithful to GOD!

@DanielJohn2300 Hi, thats okay :) I agree with most of what you said, but w/a different conclusion re Azazel. Its the name of a devil & associated with the chief of devils. Sin entered via satan thru Adam -satan is responsible for bringing sin & rebellion into the world. obviously, he can't "take away" anyone's sin, but all sin will be ascribed to him as part of his judgment. Atonement doesn't always mean a blanket forgiveness, but is a reparation/payment for a wrong & so he will pay eternally.
