Microsoft Surface is much older than Touchtable. It was developed in MS Research in 2001, and finally productized in 2007.

you can't "steal" an idea, even if this is where they got the idea, i doubt it thought since they were both being displayed around the same time

You cannot generate sophisticated applications such as the ones shown in Google Earth, only simple ones.
