  • you sound amazing here! i've been watching a lot of your videos, and i really like your tone. I'm a fellow classical saxophone player, and I was hoping you could recommend some mouthpieces that would help provide me with a darker sound. I currently play with a meyer 5m. I was looking at the vandoren a28, would you recommend that?

  • @narutocola1 thanks. Yes, the Vandoren A28 could work well. Depends a lot on the combination with the horn, and if that works, make sure you try a bunch. I tried 10 A28's with a student once. They where all very different in terms of intonation and tone. You can also check other Vandoren, or Selmer mouthpieces, like the new sd20's (remake). A Meyer is not perse a classical mouthpiece
