From the CD, "In the Blood," Robert MIrabal's "Theo's Dream" is an homage to his Uncle Theo from Taos Pueblo, who went to Vietnam in 1971 and came back the next Spring forever changed. "Please don't forget our love songs," Theo tells his loved ones, "they only grow stronger, please don't forget. And your kisses, your kisses are in my blood."

"Theo's Dream" is one of Robert's most powerful spoken word performances, with a brilliant music video by his good friend Bill Mitchell of Blue Sky Footage... and a stellar arrangement by our brother-in-music, producer Andy Byrd.

Please share this with other Vietnam Vets... and those who love them. It means a lot to Robert for the healing to never stop.

  • I too went to Vietnam in 1971 and came back the next Spring forever changed. I am still haunted to this day by what went on. Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Robert, I had not heard this one before...It is deeply moving & eye opening. I am sorry for your uncle. He was a brave man. You are just as brave to be a spokesperson by way of your music...to teach us truth, values & beauty all at the same time. If Kokopelli was ever real...I believe he would have been proud to call you one of his ancestors keeping the wisdom & beauty alive in your songs. Thank You for sharing your message. ~*May You Walk Softly in Beauty Eternally*~ @;}~
