1941. A Russian and German general sit down for a game of chess, their every move affecting the course of an actual battle and, ultimately, their own lives.

My final film project for a Production II class at Columbia College Chicago.

  • Well done! When you can make a film - especially a war film - and tell a story with out any dialogue, it's a win. And I'm a huge fan of the B&W.

  • Well Done! Hope you got an A!

  • Incredible! I haven't seen anything this original in a long time!

  • Clever and original; I’m not normally into BW film but it works here. I love the editing and going from chess board, to reenactment film to original WWII newsreel shots. The ending was a bit brutal but so was the war. Great job!

  • this is just like the age of empires II trailer... the two kings are playing chess and their moves affect their real battle moves. where did you get these scenes?

  • ...white goes first

  • very nice. Dialogue was not needed and the black and white film was a great concept/

  • I enjoyed it - thumbs up

  • I live the very end

  • good job dude, i enjoyed the vid, i liked the concept of the chess piece's resembling the actual soldiers.

  • Very, very well done. This don´t need dialogs.
