There was an immigrant folktale in Greenland around the early 1900's about an elderly woman who went on a rampage killing cats in London. Her name was Curiositi T. Manicotta, and she moved there to retire from Italy but started eating tuna when she saw other cats doing it.

Obviously, the tale is somewhat believable because of mercury buildup in tuna as a result of coal-burning. It must have driven her insane.
