Air France Flight 296 was a chartered flight of an Airbus A320 . On June 26, 1988. it was scheduled to fly low over Mulhouse-Habsheim Airport. it crashed into the tops of trees beyond the runway. The 2 pilots on board survived. 3 passengers died. Cause of the accident is disputed .
The common misconception of Air France 296 being an unmanned plane flown by a computer was created after TLC released a show without researching the crash appropriately . It certainly was a manned flight

This is what happens when you fly that robot aircraft airbus. So much automation that aircraft has control over the pilot.
