- ENJOY! Happy New Year! -

-- Levi LaVallee broke his own world record for distance jumped on a snowmobile by launching

412 feet at the "2011 Red Bull: New Year. No Limits" event on Saturday night. The previous

record was 361 feet.

-- LaVallee jumped alongside Robbie Maddison, who unofficially broke the world record for

"More cylinders don't make more power"

    sure....

I'll give you that is true sometimes, but not in this case. My 640cc KTM made about 65hp, more than most 1200cc V-twin harleys make.

But we are talking about a 3-cylinder 2stroke of about 900cc or more, making prob north of 130hp, compared to a single cylinder 450cc 4 stroke, making about 50hp.

    So that statement is irrelevant.

  • These morons thought that helmet would do shit when you are at that height and free-falling?

  • mute

  • I still got Robbies autograph :3

  • @Avus95

think you boys are forgetting these are not standard engine's and as such produce a lot more hp

hp does not equate to speed, your reference to the 1200 harley, around 72-75 hp, produces a bucket load of torque making it still one of the quickest bikes from factory

  • @Avus95 correction most modern ones use twin they are more efficient and dont have to worry about a harmonic imbalance, there are still some triples like the new yamaha's but the company's making the 2 strokes arent using triples

  • @Avus95 im pretty sure that a 3 cylinder 2 stroke with about 900cc is pumping out at least 200hp my 01 800 puts out about 135 stock and the new ones are putting out 150+ from the factory but yea they make alot more power than a single cylinder dirt bike. Just helping you get your facts more straight

  • ESPN already filmed it. You don't have to.

  • maybe if the guy on the bike woulda kept his elbows in he coulda got up a little more speed before the jump
