How did you help/teach her to eat so calmly, to use the fork only for eating, to put it so carefully in her mouth, etc? Is it just patience and demonstration? Or is she naturally a careful/calm child?
Starting early is really the key. We did other unorthodox things that impacted her success at the weaning table: no crib but a futon on the floor allowing more independence to move around in her room, giving her choices before she could speak by letting her reach out to one thing or another, etc start with very small pieces of food. Be patient. Quit when he/she gets tired or starts to push things around the table. I would be happy to answer questions if you are giving it a try.
WOW! I just wish all the parents I work with were as patient and accommodating as these parents. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for giving this gift to this child!!
