Simply : contradiction with science

There is a verse saying something like this:"When he reached the place where sun sets, he found it set in a well of muddy water". This was a clear contradiction with reality, and God should be smarter than saying something like this.

Later I found other things like the bad design of human e.g. eye which contradicts the verse that says something like :"we created human in the best form".

I can't remember the number of verses, but you could search for them.

Wow, that's amazing! It takes courage and effort to dig out of the hole of lies. I think I can speak out of experience. I'd be really interessted to learn what freed you. Has reason that power? I'm asking, because often I find arguments ineffictive, then I talk to my family. Well, whatever. The purpose of following religion is to lead ourselves to a free, secure and good willed lives. There were not restriction and people werent dogmatic. However now politics, economy and absurd beliefs have poisoned religion. Fear has replaced love in religion. Science and religion are two different concepts however science and pure spiritual concepts (not teachings spread by our modern religion) will compliment each others.

I used to be a Muslim for 20 years until 30 days ago. I can't understand why I did not listen to programs like this earlier. Maybe because it was easier to not see the truth.

worst thing is, I will have to keep pretending I am a Muslim so that I don't get killed.

(And yes I am aware of the possible contradiction between myself claiming to be a nihilist and at the same time talk about the 'value of achieving anything' but that's just my subjective view on the matter of course.)

Even I as a complete atheïst / nihilist / absurdist find his way of 'discussing' (if you can even call it that) about religion / scientific facts repulsive. It doesn't achieve anything, it appears to be nothing more than a vent through which he can steam off the agression he feels towards the ignorance of religion.
