@farrenh Not a collaboration.....it was a compilation album with various/assorted African musicians/bands. Clegg & LBM were just 2 different groups on the same album. But just like Paul Simon/LBM.......a Clegg/LBM collaboration would probably be pretty awesome. :-)

There's an album with Clegg and LBM? I want to hear that. A lot.

@ngiyaxolisa There were multiple artists, but I forget who else was on the tape besides Clegg. LBM might have been. I remember another song, "Batonga". Had a 4/4 *thump, thump" techno/house type of beat & sung by a young (maybe early 20's sounding) African female. It may have been (but I'm not 100% sure) on this particular tape. I think the tape may have been named "World" something (Music from around the World, maybe). Do you remember the name of the tape you've mentioned Thanks.

@gjc82071 There's an early compilation album/cd with Jaluka and Ladysmith Black Mambazo (and perhaps others) that might be the one you're after. It's one of a series of releases highlighting the music of different cultures. I have it and can't find it, but will continue to look for it.

@spackhollogay If you're a Clegg fan, maybe you can help he? I've check many internet "find song by lyric" sites without luck. There is a song he does, it was on an African mix tape with multiple musicians. Lent the tape to a friend 15+ years ago, never saw it again. I remember only the lyrics "In a room full of smoke, we danced the night away.......everybody's talking about rhythm of tomorrow" (or something like that) and then a chorus in African w/African singers & harmony.
Is this Album released in South Africa yet?
