At one point in 2008, Spits vs. 109s server deleted most FW190 fighters from it's servers so that the pilots for it's hosting squad, RAF238, would not have to fly against them. This happened shortly after this track was saved by "Comet" as he shot down RAF238Furious and his Tempest with a 1944 FW190d9.
On this particular map, WarbirdsofPrey first replaced the 44' D9 with the slower 45' model, then when this did not stop me from shooting them down, they deleted the FW190D9 completely and all that was available was the FW190A8. On the "mulberry" map, at that point the only FW190 available from one base was the F8 ground attack model.
Notice the rhetoric of RAF238Furious and "wulfbait" in the chat bar, where according to Furious, the reason he is shot down is because the FW190d9 is on the map, not because he is doing ground-attack unescorted. Also note his and wulfbaits ridiculous statements about how protecting your sides ground assets is a cowardly act and a "blue tactic".
Of course being the hosting squad, RAF238 is immune from following any server rules, or those of common sense and courtesy.....
The month previous to this, I had flown FW190s almost exclusively on Spits vs. 109s to become the top fighter pilot that month on the servers stat page, completing 87% of my sorties and shooting down over 100 enemy fighters and coming in third in points behind two groundpounders with very poor completion rates, Mux and Gunnrunner.
The FW190s came back to Spits vs. 109s after Gunnrunner banned me, not for anything I did flying on the server, but for criticizing the server on their forum...
Really?

I've also encountered a great deal of poor sportsmanship from RAF238 members on that server. Many of them behave like rude children with no social skills.
