Beautiful miniature, beautifully played. MAH at his best with command of pedal mix, softly piquant sonorities & harmonies....wonderful modern piano writing!

Lovely miniature. The left hand in the beginning is beautiful on the level of the Liszt consolation no. 3.
Toward the end I heard the influence of Godowsky-Saint-Saens "The Swan".

It was printed in the July/August 2009 of Clavier Companion. If you can get ahold of that issue, it is in there.

I love this piece - is it from his Con Intimissimo Sentimento or a separate piece? I like the pieces in that set too.

It is a fairly recent piece he wrote for Clavier Companion magazine (it was printed in the magazine, I think). It is not part of Con Intimissimo Sentimento.
