a) the weight of pole (it means flexibility of pole: to jump high, you need to use heavy one)
b) the speed of running with pole
c) the angle of pole against to ground level these are mainly important elements of pole v.

@ThePaxkivimae Many things are difficult, that doesn't make them impressive. A certain elagence is required, if not maybe an element of competition or pride. Simply being hard does not make something a sport.
P.S Hardest sport, not even close, try cave-diving, Base-Jumping, High Altitude climbing, motorcycle racing or bull riding and then i'd be happy to give the pole a try (Crude Sexual Joke Intended)
