This video was filmed in 1990, at Paradise Point Marina, in Stockton, CA. For years I thought it had been taped over until I found it recently. The shop I worked for helped with some hardware for this creation. The owner had plans to develop this into something for all vehicles, from compacts to RVs. You know you didn't have to tow your boat when you could just drive you car into the lake and ski behind it. I don't know that it ever went any further than this though.

  • I LOVE this I'v had a similar idea for years, accept I would tow the pontoons and drive up on them.screw the wheel power though thats what they make outboards for, anybody no of anything similar let me know!

  • this actually has a prop and rudder under it. You can see if you look real close as he is driving up ramp after 'boating' the whole thing with the wheels spinning was the pto on the transfer case had to be in 4wd for the pto to be engaged

  • Yeah, one of my first thought was about the fact that; cars and trucks typically aren't intended to have their rotating assy's submerged for any length of time. I remember the owner stating that his goal was to have the vehicle higher so the wheels wouldn't be in the water. the whole thing is kinda impossible though.

  • BADASS BRONCO

  • Funny as shit...would suck balls if somethin broke and ya went right in the water...

  • I bet OJ Simpson wishes he had one of these! ;)

  • I have now placed a movie of the Myark trailer barge on you tube if you would want to look at the folding trailer pontoon towed behind a Recreational vehicle then unfolded and RV driven on top of pontoon then ventured the most remote lake in the north island of New Zealand

Made this model 12 years ago and now have superior designs I will start to manufacture again.

  • I have invented several ways to fold a pontoon and tow behind car then drive up on ramps which you can see if place Myark folding barge in google search engine

Its good to see the Bronco with folding pontoons been done.

  • How about adding a set of "truck tracks" to give more grab in the water a well as the ramp.

  • Like bronco's don't get rusty enough lol
