  • @ozzierotex and he should also step up to 4000grt paper...

  • In this case, you wet sand with ultra-fine paper after the paint cures, to knock down the "orange peel" or unevenness of the paint. When you wetsand with a block you even out the finish (the water helps lubricate the paper and wash away paint residue), then buff it out with compound to achieve a gloss finish.
